Robert Butler - Founder and President
Robert Butler is the founder and president of Kenaz Technology Group and acts as the lead technical consultant and project manager
for the organization.
Robert Butler is an experienced technology leader with 12 years management experience coupled with 15 years of Information Technology
and Electronics Engineering experience. Proficient in all aspects of systems administration including IT project
management, systems security, network infrastructure and security, application usability, implementation of
new products and systems migration planning and deployment.
Most recently, Robert served as the Vice President of Technology for Colorado Technical University, and in that position
was responsible for the technical management of the Universities enterprise infrastructure, technology planning
and budgeting, and strategic planning as pertained to the University. Robert also played a key role in the
operation of the university as a member of the University Executive committee. Robert's contributions to the University
operations extended beyond pure technology and included the development of the "Ideal Classroom" concept, a project which
considered not only the use of technology in the classroom, but cognitive theory (HOW people learn) and space planning.
Robert has received many awards over the years for his contributions to the local community, to include;
- Paul Harris Fellow - Rotary - In appreciation for tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples
of the world.
- Productivity Enhancement Award - The Center for Citizen Initiatives - In appreciation and invaluable contribution to the Russian Telecommunications
and Networking Delegation.
- Numerous awards - Colorado Technical University
Robert also continues to contribute to the security community as a member of the Information Systems Security Association as well as
working closely with an international initiative to enhance security awareness in South America (to be named).
